Nana's Strands
Inspired by Nana's Box in the movie Daughters Of The Dust, this design recalls Black America's many interwoven strands as kept alive through our spiritual sciences and cultural practices. When you look at it, think of twists lovingly woven with indigo stained hands; Igbo walking back to Africa; and the land ~ both held and lost.
